Event branding – Constuctive (Master Builders)

About
Constructive is an annual forum, designed to ask the big questions that will help shape the future of the construction sector. It is a unique opportunity for industry professionals to network and share ideas, and hear from a range of inspiring speakers about the issues that will shape our building landscape in the years to come.

The event had been going from strength to strength and increasing in size each year, so it was time to refresh its visual identity to capture the event’s energy and importance.

Approach
The construction industry is not short of meetings, events and conferences, so it was important to keep the brand focused on what makes it unique.

We worked with the client to define the underpinning purpose of Constructive – to promote insightful thinking, collaboration and leadership.

The visual identity captures the energy of so many industry leaders bringing together ideas under one roof, and the resulting opportunities to move the industry forward.

Outcomes
The refreshed visual identity received considerable positive feedback, while the event’s ongoing increase in size and popularity demonstrated the importance of capturing ideas and sharing insights – and also showed that there needed to be more, and different, opportunities to do so.

There are now regional Constructive Summits right across the country, supporting building businesses large and small. Creating a family of collateral for the Summits has shown the flexibility of the brand to give each region its own ‘identity’ without eroding the wider brand.

As the forum grows in size, it increases in influence, with feedback continuing to be overwhelmingly positive, and this year’s event is set to be the biggest ever.

Taking it to the regions

After the success of the Constructive refresh, it was decided that the regional events held throughout the year should be aligned more closely with the nationwide event. The master brand was adapted to give each of these ‘regional summits’ its own colour identity, and a suite of templates and collateral was created for each.
